Eventful Saturday

I'm so "man"

Morning, my sis and I drove our car to my friend's workshop to have our front tyres changed. As the price of tyres will be increased by July, therefore my dad adviced us to get our tyres changed soon.

As we arrived at the workshop, it was quite embarassing as all the cars there were luxurious cars like BMW, Mercedes and Honda... and then suddenly... our this 'anti-climax' car drove in =P

But we were 'welcomed' by some whistles... probably it's very rare to see young ladies sending their cars for service.

Knowing that it's about their lunch time and it'll take some time for them to work on my car, my friend offered me his car to drive around. So........................

KLUE Urbanscapes 2008

Yup... me and my sis drove his car to KLPAC in Sentul.

This event actually started from 12pm to 12 midnight. We arrived there at around 2pm. It was freaking hot!!! I was quite frustrated when I found out that the event was actually RIGHT UNDER THE SUN. No choice... we already came all the way...

We actually visited the event as media, as I was offered 2 media passes by Nuffnang. We were told that media pass holders are entitled to enter ALL paid and unpaid sections and no one will stop us from taking photos.

Luckily, they did have some other events going on in the air-conditioned building. I remembered entering 3 theater rooms: one playing a local-production movie; another having a live rock band performance which I found quite cool, like a concert with all the special lightings; and the other theater was having some live unplugged performance with a girl doing tap dancing.

There was also live music performance going on at the park by the lake. People were sitting around on the steel chair chit-chatting and cheering for the unplugged band. Even though I didn't really enjoy those Malay songs, but I found the whole atmosphere there was very relaxing as we were surrounded by greeneries and soothing musics. However the windless weather bothered me a lot.

After that, we went under the sun to visit those booths. It's some sort like the bazaar at The Curve. But I still prefer The Curve's. This place... I think it's quite... hmm... messy, I should say.

I stopped by a booth selling cute cakes which are made and sold by a web designer. I met her in person and fount that she's very sweet and pretty. Not only can she design websites, but she can design cakes too. Whoever wanna get to know her, contact me, as I have her business card =P Okay, joking. Whoever wanna order these cakes from her, I can give you her contact number.

Came across an interesting booth =P I went to enquire about the price of some really sexy lingeries. They're all imported. But I didn't buy any.. buy for what? Wear for whom to see?

Some of the sellers seeing me with the media pass, they gave me their business card and asked for mine in return...

“Err... Sorry... I don’t have any business card... “

“But you’re from the media... which media are you from?”

“I”m a blogger. I don’t have my card... YET.” *sweat*

8 months later...

At night, my sis’s friend dropped me off at Pavillion while they headed to KL Convention Centre to watch Beauty and The Beast live stage performance.

Yessss.... finally...... I came to Pavillion... after 8 months....

8 months ago when I went there, Pavillion was still very new. Many shops were not opened yet. And 8 months later... their directory is still the same... the contents are not updated.

All these while, I was looking forward to the day I go to Pavillion again. Tonight, my dream came true (even though it's only half of it). I was really excited! Hey, I do enjoy going shopping alone u know. Remembered my Uni time when I was still single, I used to go shopping alone after class. I'm doing it again now =)

I dressed up elegantly. I put on my new black tube dress and my pair of black heels, and carried my black purse. I love wearing black. And many people said I look good in black, probably because of my fair skin.

I went to this restaurant called Pancake House International for dinner. When I see the word "pancake"... I'll think of Paddington Pancake House in 1U and The Curve. Since I've never tried this one, I went in to have a taste of it.

I ordered something called Chocolate Chip pancake. It's recommended by the waiter as I asked for something chocolaty. And he also recommended me their fresh Kiwi juice.

Seriously, their kiwi juice is real good. The pancake was served with maple syrup, peanut spread, and err... something yellowish (as you can see from the picture above). I have no idea what's that, but it tasted like milk + butter. I didn't like it, as I hate anything that has milk taste.

After dinner, I walked around the shopping complex. And I was attracted to The C. Club restaurant. It looked really inviting. The setup and interior design was very pleasant and classy. The "C" actually stands for "carat". The Carat Club. They actually have a diamond jewelery shop right below this restaurant with the name The C. Club too. I told myself that one fine day I must try this place........with someone of course... but don't know with whom yet.......... *imagining... Prince William ? =)* *slap slap* WAKE UP!!!

I walked and walked and walked... went to Nokia and Blue Cube to enquire about the black N82 but both the shops didn't have stock. The Nokia stuff told me that black is limited edition. Disappointed. I also went to Sony Centre to try on the Sony Cybershot T-300. Really tempted to buy... I told myself I will get it soon... Sigh... you know... spending money on your own can be so satisfying.
